Dancebourne Arts is thrilled to bring the repertoire of the charming classic historic one act story ballet The Fairy Doll and stunning classical and contemporary choreography to delighted audiences at Drum Theatre in Dandenong.
First premiered in Vienna in 1888, The Fairy Doll is set in the 1850s, in a toy shop in St. Petersburg where, when night falls, the dolls miraculously come to life and the fairy doll invites them to a ball. This charming ballet was one of the most successful productions in the late 19th century – it is a true and rarely staged gem not to be missed! The Fairy Doll will feature the divine company artists as well as the emerging talent of our youth company artists. The Triple Bill program will also include a stunning classical and contemporary choreography performed by the artists of Dancebourne Arts.
