The Health Expo intends to raise awareness about physical and mental health risk factors facing the community. It hopes to share positive lifestyle interventions to minimize these risk factors. The Healthy LIFE! Expo will inform individuals about their current health and focus their attention how to lead a healthier lifestyle through various interactive activities.
The SMRC (Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre) Health Expo will be delivered in group settings to allow for peer to peer support and encouragement. The expo aims to inform and empower the community with information to make healthy life choices, utilising knowledge specialists and local community groups to deliver a range of activities. The SMRC Health Expo is suitable for all ages, cultures and abilities, however please note that some sessions will only be suitable for adults. Each session runs for approximately 45-60 minutes.

10am – 11:30am: Dance Workshop (Paul Streefkerk Rehearsal Room, Drum Theatre)
10:30am – 11am: Tai Chi (Auditorium, Drum Theatre)
11am – 11:30am: Exercise Session (Auditorium, Drum Theatre)
12pm – 12:30pm: Cooking Demo & Life! Program (Foyer, Drum Theatre)
1pm – 2pm: Art therapy: Canvas painting (Paul Streefkerk Rehearsal Room, Drum Theatre)
