COVID-19 Safety guidelines and policies
The Drum is open and using best practice protocols to keep our patrons and staff safe. See below for more information.
Do you feel sick?
It is more important than ever that all staff and visitors stay at home if unwell. Even if you only have mild symptoms or ‘feel a little ill’ you should play it safe, stay at home and get tested immediately. Our refund policy has been adjusted so if you are feeling unwell you can get a full refund.
We still need to socially distance while we connect with each other at venues. Please remain at least 1.5m apart from others, practice good hygiene and we recommend downloading and using the COVID-19 app.
Wear a facemask
When attending The Drum Theatre, it is a condition of entry that you will need to wear a fitted facemask. Exceptions include infants, children under 12 and people who are deaf, hard of hearing or have a medical exemption.
All visitors are required to provide their contact details using the QR code available at the entrance to The Drum. If you don’t have a smartphone available, one of our friendly staff will be there to enter your details manually. We keep these details secure for 28 days and only provide them to DHHS if needed for contract tracing purposes.
We encourage all visitors to use cashless payment methods in our box office and bar.
We have increased cleaning happening right across our facility to keep it safe for our visitors, staff and performers.
