Samudra Manthan is an epic Kathak dance production inspired by one of the most celebrated stories from Indian mythology—the Churning of the Cosmic Ocean.
Bringing together over 100 dancers from diverse backgrounds and age groups, this large-scale production brings the timeless story of Samudra Manthan to life through the grace, rhythm, and storytelling traditions of Kathak, enhanced by music and visual theatre.
As the story unfolds, audiences are taken on a captivating journey through moments of conflict, determination, sacrifice, temptation, and divine intervention. Through intricate footwork, expressive abhinaya, dynamic choreography, traditional Kathak compositions, and immersive audiovisual elements, the ancient narrative is brought vividly to life on stage.
