Actomania is a non-for-profit Theatre group formed during 2019 to stage popular plays produced by participants from various communities. All activities like directing, acting, making costumes, stage props, stage decoration are undertaken by volunteers. Despite interruptions caused by Covid, Actomania managed to produce several plays so far – some of which were streamed online during COVID and some were performed on the stage with full house.

Aaj Robibar (Today is Sunday) is a play in Bengali language. It was a very popular Bangladeshi television series written by eminent playwright Humayun Ahmed.

The plot revolves around the day-to-day life of a joint family in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The household consists of various members with unique personalities who act in ways not always compatible with each other, yet they are deeply connected. Eccentric ways of the grandfather, his socially incompetent/lunatic sons, two fun-loving granddaughters, a house guest, two housekeepers in love and a young governess lead to several comic incidents. The play will bring back nostalgic memories of living in a Bengali joint family. The audience will get a taste of traditional Bengali culture.
