The Pravaha Dancing Foundation presents Dalada, a Sri Lankan Kandyan Dance Concert in Melbourne. Inspired by
the legendary Esala Perahera of Kandy, one of the oldest and most revered Buddhist festivals, this event will
showcase Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage.
The Esala Perahera is a breathtaking spectacle honoring the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha. Featuring adorned elephants, fire dancers, drummers and Kandyan dancers, it mesmerizes audiences with rhythmic movements and vibrant performances.
Dalada will capture the essence of this historic celebration in Melbourne, delivering an unforgettable cultural experience bringing centuries-old traditions to life through dynamic choreography, striking costumes and mesmerizing rhythmic storytelling.
